Opening Performance In collaboration with Roció Fernandez 16 empty square meters, wine, nachos's pyramide, public. Estudio Abierto, Buenos Aires, Argentina 2006
In the context of city's official mega exhibition Estudio
Abierto, Rosa Chancho develops Opening, a performance based on a permanent
opening within a virtual art gallery where the only thing that happens is the
opening event itself. We invite Rocío Fernández, film director, to make a
schedule of mini-moments and take over its execution.
The gallery is a restricting 4 x 4
m square, 50 cm high, with an opening that functions as an access and exit
door. Typical activities of openings like drinking wine, eating snacks and
being social, are only allowed inside this gallery without walls, where the
pre-established cycle of situations merge with the spontaneous relationships
between visitors.
